Using BJJ Move to Slow Blood Flow for Trauma Victims - Study by Harborview Medical Center



A martial-arts maneuver can reduce blood loss in someone who has sustained a significant wound, suggests a small, proof-of-concept study. Nathan White, lead author, is an emergency medicine physician at Harborview Medical Center. He adapted and tested the "knee mount," a pinning technique, to slow blood flow.
